This is the required in-person assessment needed to finalize your Transport Canada Advanced Operations Certificate. CPR Drone Training & Services, Steve Charpentier—a seasoned former Canadian Forces helicopter pilot, conducts these reviews, emphasizing a low-stress, professional environment.
Prerequisites: You must have already passed the Transport Canada Small Advanced Exam and have a drone registered with Transport Canada.

A brief on the Flight Review Location.
A Candidate Checklist of required documents (ID, Certificates, SOPs).

Level 1 Complex Operations (L1C)
The L1C Certificate is the highest standard for Canadian RPAS pilots, enabling high-level operations like low-risk Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) and compliance for an RPAS Operator Certificate (RPOC).
The RPAS Centre offers the mandatory ground school, followed by the Transport Canada exam and the final flight review:
- Enroll in $99 Online Ground School: The RPAS Centre provides the 20 hours of mandatory training at no cost.
- Take the TC L1C Exam: Pass the theoretical exam (80% minimum).
- Book and Pass the L1C Flight Review: Complete the in-person assessment with a sanctioned Flight Reviewer.
This certification ensures you have the advanced knowledge and skills required for the most demanding commercial missions.
