Certification Process
Step 1: Complete the Exam Prep Course
Sign up for our free online course, packed with helpful videos and practice quizzes made by commercial aviation pilots. Work through each module and finish with the final exam.
Step 2: Earn Certification
After you complete the course, we’ll email your official certification. Download your certification and add it to your LinkedIn profile or resume to highlight your new credential and stand out in the drone industry.
Step 3: Take the Transport Canada Advanced Exam
When you are ready, log in to the Transport Canada Drone Management Portal to complete the Advanced Exam.
Step 4: Enroll in the Flight Review Preparation Course
Complete your preparation by registering for our Free Online Flight Review preparation course. This course is designed to guide you through the knowledge, procedures, and best practices you’ll need to confidently pass your flight review.
Step 5: Book and Pass Your Advanced Operations Flight Review
Schedule your Advanced Operations Flight Review through the RPAS Wilco Flight Reviewer Network.
Successfully passing this flight review will earn your official Advanced Operations Certificate, confirming you meet Canada’s regulatory requirements for safe and compliant operations.
Step 6: Transport Canada Certificate Fee
Now comes the only part we can’t take credit for, The final step is simply paying the certificate fee directly to Transport Canada using their drone management portal. Rest assured, the payment goes right to the regulator smoothly and straightforward.
Once that’s done, you’re just about ready for takeoff!
